AVN (Avascular Necrosis)

Avascular necrosis is the death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply. Also called osteonecrosis, avascular necrosis can lead to tiny breaks in the bone and the bone’s eventual collapse. The blood flow to a section of bone can be interrupted if the bone is fractured or the joint becomes dislocated.

Medication: Depending on the cause, Ayurvedic Tablet Therapy is given for 4 months, along with some prescription oils for external application. 4 to 5 drops are to be administered on the hip area at bed time. The tablets are to be taken at morning and at night.

Test results are tallied after 4 months and the treatment continues for approximately 1.5 years.

Additionally, if the case is beyond treatment by medication alone, surgical operation is often advised.
